Biography
Zhou Zhi had some 2000 families under his command. At some time during the mid to late AD 180s he held a feud with Chen Gong (1) and Li Tong. Both Li Tong and Chen Gong wished to kill him but Chen Gong found this too difficult to accomplish. Li Tong, knowing Chen Gong would not interfere, invited Zhou Zhi to a meeting and killed him while he was drunk. To resolve the commotion caused by this Li Tong led Chen Gong and killed Zhou Zhi’s faction, combining his troops with their own.
