Zhang Jin
Biography
Following the death of the Administrator Ma Ai in AD 220, Zhang Jin named himself Administrator of Zhangye. At the same time, Huang Hua revolted in Jiuquan. The two men formed an alliance and gathered both disaffected Chinese and non-Chinese supporters in the Northwest of China. They kidnapped Zhang Gong’s son, Zhang Jiu, and tried to blackmail Zhang Gong into joining them. This, however, failed. Zhang Gong instead lead an army out to keep Huang Hua in check. Meanwhile, a punitive force commanded by Su Ze easily defeated and killed Zhang Jin.
