Biography

Historic (Confirmed)

Zhang Chi was a bandit leader stationed at Tao Shan who commanded some 5000 households. Some time around c. AD 201 Li Tong began launching campaigns to defeat the bandits between the Huai and Ru Rivers. He defeated Qu Gong, Jiang Gong and Chen Cheng and delivered their heads to Cao Cao earning him the title Marquis of a Chief Commune and the appointment of Grand Administrator of Runan. He then moved on to Zhang Chi, who he attacked and easily defeated. And thus the region was pacified.
