Biography
Zhan Qian was initially an ordinary county magistrate. He later joined the court of Cao Pi. Zhan Qian tried to dissuade Cao Pi from rampant hunting, and then later argued against his decision to make the lowly Lady Guo his Empress. When Cao Rui was Emperor, Zhan Qian protested the large amount of corvee labor that Cao Rui used. After this, he later grew ill and died. His many protests were not well-received, and he only held a low ranking in court.
