Biography

Historic (Confirmed)

Pang Lin was Pang Tong’s brother, also in service to Shu. He held rank as Zhi Zhong of Jingzhou. With Huang Quan, he participated in the Yiling campaign, and after defeat, travelled with Huang Quan into Wei, where they both surrendered. He was titled Li Hou, and later made Governor of Julu.

Pang Lin’s wife hailed from the same prefecture as as Xi Jing’s sister. When the Cao family conquered Jingzhou, Pang Lin was separated from his wife, who took care of their daughter alone. After he surrendered to Wei with Huang Quan, he was also reunited with his wife and daughter. When Cao Pi learned of this, he praised Pang Lin for being a loyal husband, and sent him many gifts.
