Biography
Huo Xing served as General of the Household to the court of Wei in AD 220 when Cao Pi prepared an inaugural tour as a display of strength to the south. Huo Xing memorialized against the tour, claiming it was inappropriate. Angered by the interference, Cao Pi ordered Huo Xing tortured and executed. It is claimed that he wished to rescind his orders, but not in time to spare Huo Xing’s life.
