Fact vs. Fiction
Differences Between Fact and Common Fiction
- Did not meet with or heal Guan Yu.
- Died in AD 207 not AD 220, and not because he tried to assassinate Cao Cao. Rather, he was making excuses to avoid treating him. At one point he returned home, claiming his wife was ill. Cao Cao investigated, found it to be false, and had him imprisoned and later executed.
