Brother of a groom in Zhang Liao’s service, when his brother was punished by Zhang Liao and wished to kill his master, Taischi Ci sent Ge Ding to help. Able to get into the city, Ge Ding and brother planned to start a fire then create a panic so they could get to Zhang Liao and kill him. Zhang Liao knew it was some malcontents and not the whole city so didn’t panic, waiting till Li Dian brought in Ge Ding, after a few questions, Ge Ding was executed with his brother.
