Biography
Cao Zhao inherited the title of Marquis of Changping (長平侯) from his father, Cao Xiu. Said to be a man of considerable talent. When Cao Rui was extremely sick, he wanted Cao Zhao to be one of the regents for Cao Fang, but changed his mind due to the words of Liu Fang and Sun Zi and ordered that Cao Zhao, being a marquis, should go to Changping. During the Zhengshi era (240–249), he died. He was posthumously made General of the Guards.
