Cao Xi was a Cao Wei noble who was the son of Cao Zhen and the younger brother of Cao Shuang. He held the title of Marquis of Anxiang 安鄉侯. He tried to moderate the actions of Cao Shuang, recognizing that he was attracting many enemies, but he failed. Cao Xi would be right when Sima Yi launched an effective coup against Cao Shuang with the support of the disgruntled court officials. Cao Xi lost his power and was soon executed on charges of treason.
