Biography

Sanguo Yanyi

Used by Cai Mao to guard the north road in case Liu Bei slipped through his plot. Later, after Cai Mao was executed by Cao Cao, Cai Zhong was sent with Cai He as pretend defectors to spy on Wu but Zhou Yu and his officers saw through the ploy. Cai Zhong was fed information that Huang Gai, Kan Zhe and Gan Ning which to defect and when the attack started, Cai Zhong was forced to be a guide by Gan Ning, taking the Wu general into innermost recesses of Cao Cao’s camp and was then slain.
