Archived Documents and Information. This page contains archived game page updates from the date of site creation to present, content listed here was removed from their original pages. Some of the information below may be out of date, please check the live pages (home page) rather than depend on dates and Internet addresses given below.
Archived updates for the game page on Destiny of an Emperor.
7/29/04: I recorded the Destiny of an Emperor soundtrack. Two different versions are available, one for playing on repeat, and the other for simply listening through. Additionally, I made a disc cover for those of you who like to display them in your music player. More details are given with the download links, which can be found on the music page.
7/21/04: Completed and uploaded a grand old project. You can now view the full Destiny of an Emperor map with locations labeled (along with Chi Tu Ma) by clicking on the thumbnail at the bottom of this page, the link on the right-hand navigation bar, or by using the thumbnail in the screenshots page. Be warned, the image is very large, even at 50% resolution.
1/23/04: I have tossed the whole Destiny of an Emperor portraits collection online into a section remade from the ground up. The old section is now offline, and links that used to point to it should all be updated. Enjoy!
1/16/04: For those of you who haven’t been following the revamp of this section, the following new pages are now available: Screenshots, Ending Screenshots, Jingzhou Officers, Shu Officers, an Officers Quicklist (Wu and Wei still offline), Items & Equipment, and even the Destiny of an Emperor 2 Ending. The right-hand menu link to the game startup screen has been fixed, and I have even composed my notes into a walkthrough (90% complete).
Naturally, more needs to be done in order to bring all the old content online, but we will stubbornly insist on finishing this project even if there are only 20 of you that care about the page. So there. Why you might ask? Because Destiny of an Emperor is the reason why I got interested in the Three Kingdoms era in the first place. Kongming’s Archives’ original roots were also in the form of a [ghetto] Destiny of an Emperor home page. I must pay tribute.
3/19/03: Finished Yuan Shu and Yuan Shao’s chapters in the officers section and added a link to News and Information.
2/12/03: Completed Destiny of an Emperor page revision, added new screenshots to the bottom of the page, created a new file layout for site section (now merged with Kongming’s Archives), and information is now being transferred to the new layout.
1-6/02: Original Destiny of an Emperor site produced between 1/21/00 and ’02. Original site closed to new updates in mid ’02. Began production of the new Destiny of an Emperor page, to merge with Kongming’s Archives, in early ’03.
Older Updates: Destiny of an Emperor’s history goes even further back.
Check our Destiny of an Emperor Update Archive to see more.

9/22/02: Added the all-new Dynasty Tactics Item Guide. It is currently a work in progress, but will be completed before too long. Click here if you want to help out or send me an email with information.
8/27/02: Added a collection of 64x64 and 64x80 pixel avatars. Removed the 100x100 pixel avatars (you may still link to them, but they are no longer a part of Kongming’s Archives). Added a collection of 200x200 pixel portraits along with high-resolution versions of Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Quan, and Lu Bu.
7/15/02: FAQ/Walkthrough by Agung Pujanata added, thanks a bunch!

Archived updates for the game page on Dynasty Warriors 2.
3/6/02: Added Eugene Huang’s Extras FAQ. Added our own FAQ, Secrets, Tips, and Cheats page.
3/5/02: Added one of the best written walkthroughs I have ever seen by KWAME', thanks. I enjoyed reading it in particular because of the additional focus on actual character history. The author came to enjoy the Later Han era the same way I did, through games which eventually turned into an odd interest in history.
3/3/02: Added three screenshots featuring the rulers of Wei, Wu, and Shu fighting soldiers. Added English and Japanese game box covers.
3/1/02: Page layout completed and is now ready for content and upload.
Archived updates for the game page on Dynasty Warriors 3 and Xtreme Legends.

1/28/03: Presenting our new Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends Fifth Weapons Walkthrough.
1/2/03: I have taken the liberty of answering a few more common questions regarding Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends in the XL FAQ. Do take a look if you are trying to find something out, as it is probably one of those questions.
12/15/02: The Dynasty Warriors 3 manual has been translated to plain text, converted to HTML, and uploaded. Hat tip: Inhuman for text conversion.
11/18/02: The sheer volume of Xtreme Legends related mail in our inbox over the past few days has surprised us. To accommodate these questions (and more) we have created the Xtreme Legends release information page. One visit to this along with our Xtreme Legends home page and you will be as XL-enlightened as we are.
11/14/02: Ever since Dynasty Warriors 3 was released some people have been wondering who Fu Xi and Nu Wa were, and why they weren’t in the novel. To provide answers to these questions we have posted biographies for each of them. The links are available under the “Biographies” header in the right-hand menu.
The Dynasty Warriors 3 voice actor and officer name translation page has been updated with a large amount of additional information; take a look. Hat tip: Shohoku79.
10/15/02: Both Circuit translations may be accessed via the “Circuit Lyrics” link on the right-hand menu; it has been turned into a drop-down menu.
10/13/02: The Dynasty Warriors 3 Circuit Lyrics page has been completely revised based off content in the Shin Sangoku Musou 2: Official Settings and Information Book (external). Hat tip: Shohoku79 for kindly preparing the hanzi and text for presentation here. Muni Shinobu and Peas on Earth’s alternate translation is still online.
9/1/02: The Fierce Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musou 2 Moushouden) page has been updated with a new feature list. We are also now linking to Muni Shinobu’s excellent Dynasty Warriors 3 Fierce Warriors FAQ. It is based off the Japanese Version, but it is readable in English and Chinese (it may be offline from time to time due to bandwidth regulations). Also added a Fierce Warriors sub-menu in the right-hand menu of the Dynasty Warriors 3 section. I have also added Chinese hanzi translations to the officer name translation page.
8/19/02: The Dynasty Warriors 3 FAQ (ver. 1.0.2) has received a much-needed overhaul. I rewrote large amounts of text to improve readability and decrease download times and used JavaScript and CSS to allow you, the viewer, to show and hide sections so you only see what you want to (again improving access time and usability).
8/17/02: Added another collection of screenshots from Fierce Warriors and updated some information on the Fierce Warriors page. Added a list of officer names along the Japanese officer names and Japanese Voice Actors.
8/2/02: Updated and cleaned up the Dynasty Warriors 3 FAQ to version 1.0.1 (includes some new content and readability improvements). This update will not extend to the plain text version. I am removing my email address from the website in favor of this form (for many reasons). I think you will find the form to be more useful (the email address itself did not change, I am just hiding it from email harvesting spiders and speeding page download times). Added new Pro Action Replay codes and Weapon Customization Codes guides to the Codes and Cheats section on the right-hand menu.
7/27/02: Updated the Dynasty Warriors 3 – Fierce Warriors page with new screenshots and information found on Koei’s Japanese home page.
7/21/02: Added a new page for Dynasty Warriors 3 – Fierce Warriors. This page will be updated with new content as it becomes available.
7/19/02: All new portraits page has gone online featuring new goodies such as high-resolution portraits and more. The old pop-up portraits page is still available on the right hand menu below the new one (which is friendly to all modern browsers). Check back soon for news on Dynasty Warriors: Fierce Warriors, the new revision soon to be released in Japan.

6/14/02: At long last we now have an online forum for you to talk about Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Scholars of Shen Zhou (the-scholars.com). Drop in, register, and participate. You can ask any questions you have, share game play strategy, or talk about the characters and the history behind them.

5/22/02: new Lu Bu wallpaper by FC Chan has been added to the wallpaper page. New Dynasty Warriors 3 character illustrations have been added to the bottom of the page (my thanks to Kim for pointing me in the right direction).
5/13/02: Added 10 new Dynasty Warriors 2 officer illustration wallpapers, which you, if you are a Dynasty Warriors fan, will probably love. Replaced old Circuit mp3 with a new Circuit mp3 of higher quality (see music page).
5/7/02: Our FAQ has been updated to version 1.0 (new Dim Sum and Fairy Wine locations guide, stage events guide updated, added some new items to other areas of the FAQ). This is the last major update, but there may be future updates to correct errors and add new things that were not previously known.
5/5/02: Kongming’s Archives layout and navigation revised, Dynasty Warriors 3 section navigation and layout improved drastically (for the first time I consider the site layout to be complete). The new navigation may be a little odd at first, but I am sure you will come to like it. Moved credits to the new credits page. Created a requests page. Created a new site menu (with a Dynasty Warriors section).
5/3/02: added a new event to the Dynasty Warriors 3 FAQ.
4/23/02: Main menus updated (for novel and history page) and search engine added.
4/22/02: Added illustrations of Huang Gai and Zhao Yun to the collection at the bottom of the page. These images are very large (about 640x1050-1200) and are all by Koei. Added a new Dynasty Warriors 3 wallpaper based off these illustrations. FemmeTora’s Hard Mode Item Drops FAQ has been updated to version 2.0. Brian Nii’s FAQ/Walkthrough has been updated to version 1.3. I also added a plain text version of my own FAQ.
4/11/02: Our FAQ has been updated to version 0.9.4 (fourth weapons section upgraded with new information such as what combos activate elements and what side you have to be on, thanks, musszilla, for the suggestions). We have also updated the Tips and Tricks section, the FAQ section, and the Stage Events Guide section.
4/9/02: Added Temprus’ Dynasty Warriors 3 screensaver, there have been many requests for this sort of thing. Corrected the JP Box Cover link, our thanks to DrRomero for letting us know about the problem.
4/4/02: Created a collection of Dynasty Warriors 3 avatars for you to use on message boards. They are all 100x100 pixels, two for each officer.
4/2/02: Updated all Dynasty Warriors 3 pages with the new site design, let us know what you think one way or the other if you have the time. Cleaned up minor inconsistencies between the individual Dynasty Warriors 3 pages and fixed some very minor HTML issues.
4/1/02: Our FAQ has been updated to version 0.9.3 (fourth weapon descriptions for difficult characters improved drastically, stage events and reference guide updated). Z-Force’s FAQ has also been updated (he has improved his forth weapon descriptions as well).

3/24/02: Posted newest version of Z-Force’s excellent FAQ. Minor update to our own FAQ (0.8.1).
3/21/02: Dynasty Warriors 3 FAQ updated to ver 0.8. Now includes some additions to the Tips section, the FAQ, and the all new Fourth Weapon section.
3/20/02: Started working on our own FAQ for Dynasty Warriors 3. It will feature commonly asked questions from GameFAQs (external) along with information that people frequently access (unique items, how to unlock characters, etc.). It is in ver. 0.7 right now but already includes a great deal of content.
3/17/02: Added Dynasty Warriors 3 game music in mp3 format. Well, all Dynasty Warriors maps in the ‘DW 3 Stage Maps’ section have been translated to English and all sport the new key. The key now includes all items on the maps and colors have been added to similar items (musszilla gets our thanks here for the suggestion) to help you tell them apart. The old layout for the maps section has been ditched and replaced with something much nicer (take a look). If you have visited that section recently please clear your browser’s cache before entering (otherwise some things may be a little… well… weird). I put a lot of work into this section, if you like it please let me know! Also, please report any problems so they can be fixed immediately.
3/16/02: Located some great images on Koei’s site thanks to Z-Force. I took those images into Photoshop and edited them into the proper screen resolutions (they were off, things like 800x500) and made them available in sizes ranging from 640x480 to as high as 1280x1024. Created a new unique desktop picture called ‘Mighty Warriors’, available in sizes from 640-1600x1200. Added Yuan Shao’s portrait to the portraits section (I missed him). Possible wallpaper coming soon includes an advisors theme, a leaders theme, and perhaps a ladies theme. Revised the Wei desktop picture; it now includes Zhang He and Dian Wei.
3/15/02: Created a page for wallpaper along with three desktop pictures (one for Wu, Wei, and Shu) created by yours truly. Also included in this section is the Million Sold Poster and the Other Koei poster with all the characters. Added Z-Force’s Ladies desktop picture. If you want to add some wallpaper of your own just e-mail the webmaster using the link on the right hand menu. We will host it for you.
3/13/02: Added a collection of stage maps that include Weapon, Item, Fairy (Musou) Wine, and Dim Sum locations. All maps were scanned from the Japanese Koei strategy guide and touched up for English viewers in Photoshop.
3/12/02: Added Muni Shinobu’s FAQ and Guides. The character portraits viewer is having problems in Netscape and Mozilla (the JavaScript looks fine and reports no errors). I will take a careful look at this soon. (Update: I have located the issue, it is Mozilla/Netscape’s fault – incorrect implementation of onclick. I have reported it at bugzilla (bug id: 130265). For now Netscape users can access the portraits using this page, which uses onMouseOver instead and works.) Added workaround to resolve IE bug that added extra space to the bottom of this page.
3/9/02: Added Nu Wa and Fu Xi to the ‘DW3 Officer Portraits’ section, many thanks to clementchong. Added Ryoten’s Enemy General Drops List.
3/7/02: Added general portraits for everyone but Fu Xi and Nu Wa. (If anyone has them please send them my way). You can open the officers in a new window here, or, if your browser is 3.x or earlier open it with this link (4/10/02: this page is no longer available) instead. I have also added some portraits that were missing (which completes the collection).
4/2/02: Changed the links for the RTK VI ePSXe download. The file was originally created by the webmaster of 5-tigers.net and he has all the components available in his download section. Only about 40 portraits are included at this point (out of over 600). When all portraits are collected along with names the preview section will be replaced with the final section.
3/4/02: Cleaned up some HTML that should not be here and removed a few links that were incorrect. Page title graphic now displays the correct game (was VII instead of VIII).
3/3/02: Added Japanese Game Box Cover, added Japanese Windows Game Box Cover, added six small screenshots (it is difficult to get any real information from them, but they give you a good idea of what the game will look like).
