Fact vs. Fiction
Differences Between Fact and Common Fiction
- In debate Luo Guanzhong is often criticized for fictional content and bias found in his great work, Sanguo yanyi. Unfortunately this fails to take into account the pre-existing mythology that played a defining role in the novel, and the many political (and pro-Shu) modifications made to his original text by the Mao brothers.
