[ Home –> Games –> Destiny of an Emperor –> Officers –> Chapter II ]
On this page all officers found in Destiny of an Emperor from after Zhang Jao’s death up until Dong Zhuo’s death are listed. With each entry we list power, intelligence, soldiers (if they don’t progress with levels), attack and defense power, any tactics they will have as an enemy, their tactical potential as an ally, and how they can be hired (if possible).
Chapter II begins after Zhang Jao’s death, and ends with Dong Zhuo’s death.
Cai Yong
Str: 117, Int: 180, Men: 380, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Yang Zhou (Battle)
(VS): Ye Huo, Shui Tu, Chi Xin, Shui Jian, Cheng Nei, Qi Shou
(Ally): Da Re, Hong Shui, Tong Xian, Shui Jian, Gui Huan, An Sha
Recruiting: After the defeat of Lu Bu at Yan Zhou castle
it will be possible to capture Cai Yong in a random battle. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. Cai Yong has a decent
strength, wonderful intelligence (making him a good strategist or user for your fire tactics),
and a large compliment of troops. If you have a chance to get him soon after defeating
Lu Bu, pick him up.
Dong
Min
Str: 72, Int: 36, Men: 380, Att: 30, Def: 45
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Chang An Gate (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: Because you cannot encounter him in random battles after Dong Zhuo’s death,
he cannot be recruited.
Dong
Zhuo
Str: 162, Int: 72, Men: 439, Att: 50, Def: 45
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location:
Luo Yang (Battle)
(VS): Yan Re, Shui Lei, Tong Xing, Shui Jian, Jie Ce, Qi Shou
(Ally): N/A
Recruiting: After you defeat him at Chang An he will be killed.
Guan
Ping
Str: 200, Int: 137, Men: 418, Att: Varies, Def: Varies
Chapter:
II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Northwestern Cave (Inside)
(VS): N/A
(Ally): None
Recruiting: Northwest from Fan Shui Guan fortress you will find a cave. Enter the cave,
and complete it by finding the Gold Key. Rather than exiting with a Gullwing, walk back
to the entrance. Waiting to the right of the exit path you will find Guan Ping. He will
make a wonderful addition to your party.
Hu
Zhen
Str: 90, Int: 45, Men: 299, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location:
Yang Zhou (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: After you defeat of Lu Bu at Yan Zhou castle
it will be possible to capture Hu Zhen in a random battle. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. He is a poor officer,
however, so don’t bother with him.
Hua
Xiong
Str: 162, Int: 36, Men: 439, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter:
II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Fan Shui Guan (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: After you defeat him at Fan Shui Guan fortress
it will be possible to capture him in random battles. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. If you come across him
any time within the first half of this chapter, you will probably want to hire him. His
good power and high soldier count will be of great assistance.
Huo
Hu
Str: 80, Int: 175, Men: 236, Att: 0, Def: 10
Chapter:
II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Xu Zhou (Inside)
(VS): Ye Huo, Shui Xing, Chi Xin, Shui Jian, Cheng Nei, Qi Shou
(Ally): Yan Re, Hong Shui, Tong Xian, Shui Jian, Gui Huan, Li Jian
Recruiting: You will meet Huo Hu walking around in the southeastern area of Hua Lao Guan
fortress. If you speak with him, he will offer his services. Accept, and make him your
strategist until you find a better officer.
Jia
Xu
Str: 18, Int: 220, Men: 418, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Chang An (Battle)
(VS): Ye Huo, Shui Xing, Chi Xin, Shui Jian, Cheng Nei, Qi Shou
(Ally): N/A
Recruiting: Even after you kill Dong Zhuo, you still won’t be able to capture Jia Xu in
battle. It is quite a shame.
Li
Jue
Str: 120, Int: 72, Men: 399, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Luo Yang’s First Gate (Battle)
(VS): Lian Huo, Shui Tu, Chi Xin
(Ally): None
Recruiting: After you defeat him at Luo Yang’s first gate
it will be possible to capture him in a random battles. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. I wouldn’t bother
with him though, although he has good soldiers, his strength and intelligence are not high
enough.
Li
Ru
Str: 18, Int: 200, Men: 362, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Hu Lao Guan Fort (Battle)
(VS): Ye Huo, Shui Xing, Chi Xin, Shui Jian, Cheng Nei, Qi Shou
(Ally): Da Re, Hong Shui, Tong Xian, Shui Jian, Gui Huan, An Sha
Recruiting: After you defeat Lu Bu at Hu Lao Guan fortress it will be possible to
capture and recruit Li Ru in random battles. When captured, you will have the choice to recruit
him if you can
meet his requirements. Li Ru is among the best strategists available in this part of the
game. He is better with tactics than Cai Yong, but not good in battle at all. You will probably
want to hire one of them if you get the chance.
Li
Su
Str: 99, Int: 45, Men: 299, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Fan Shui Guan (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: After you defeat Hua Xiong at Fan Shui Guan fortress
it will be possible to capture Li Su in random battles. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. Although he has good soldiers,
his strength and intelligence are too low, don’t hire him.
Liu
Feng
Str: 187, Int: 162, Men: 399, Att: Varies, Def: Varies
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Xu Zhou (Event)
(VS): N/A
(Ally): None
Recruiting: Once you have killed the Zhang brothers at Xu Zhou, Liu Bei will drop out of
the fighting leaving Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to go on with the quest. On the way out of the
palace you will meet Liu Feng, and if you like you can hire him. Although he isn’t
as good as Liu Bei, don’t miss this chance, his soldiers are great, and his stats
are good enough for him to be of assistance for a little while.
Lu
Bu
Str: 255, Int: 72, Men: 439, Att: 30, Def: 45
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Hu Lao Guan (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: Before you move on to the battle at Yang Zhou castle, make sure you visit the
cave between Luo Yang and Hua Xiong’s fortress. Inside that cave you can find the
Gold Key. Once you have it, visit the northwestern home inside the burnt Luo Yang (Wang
Yun’s home), and use the key to get the Gemsword. Give the Gemsword to a faster general,
and then enter battle with Lu Bu at Yang Zhou. Continue using the Gemsword on him from
the items menu, and before long he will betray to your side (leaving the battle to his
former allies). If your party is full you will have to return to Xu Zhou to remove him
from your officer reserves. Obviously he will be a powerful member of your group for some
time to come.
Wang
Gui
Str: 110, Int: 40, Men: 346, Att: 0, Def: 10
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Luo Yang (City)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: Walking around the southeastern area of Luo Yang you will meet general Wang
Gui, who will offer his services. He isn’t much better than the officers you will
have at this point though, so it may not be the worth the trouble of picking him up.
Xu
Rong
Str: 90, Int: 117, Men: 314, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Luo Yang’s Second Gate (Battle)
(VS): Ye Huo, Shui Xing, Chi Xin, Wuo Jian
(Ally): Ye Huo, Shui Xing, Chi Xin, Shui Jian
Recruiting: After you defeat him at Luo Yang’s second gate
it will be possible to capture him in a random battle. When captured, you will
have the choice to recruit him if you can meet his requirements. He is basically average,
and not good enough to provide you with any real assistance.
Yang
Jin
Str: 125, Int: 40, Men: 247, Att: 0, Def: 10
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Fan Shui Guan (City)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: In the northern area of Fan Shui Guan fortress you can meet Yang Jin. He will
offer his services to you if you speak with him. His strength and soldiers are average,
and his intelligence is quite low. It is probably best to avoid him.
Zhang
Ji
Str: 147, Int: 36, Men: 362, Att: 30, Def: 40
Chapter: II (Dong Zhuo), Location: Chang An (Battle)
(VS): None
(Ally): None
Recruiting: After you defeat Dong Zhuo at Luo Yang castle it will be possible to
capture Zhang Ji in a random battle. When captured, you will have the choice to recruit
him if you can meet his requirements. Zhang Ji is another example of an officer who is
average at best, and will not be of any great use to your force.
