For April Fools’ 2004 I decided to do something a little different to tease our many loyal (perhaps?) viewers. I was up pretty late the night before and realized April Fool’s was only a matter of hours away, this time around having come up with nothing fun to play a prank with (hey, if thousands and thousands of people view your site, how can you not want to play pranks on them?) I tried to think of one of the most unrelated but barely believable alternatives to Kongming’s Archives, and Pikachu’s Archives then became the project. I started immediately, and would finish about an hour and a half later just before midnight GMT -7. This is not a real site, to view the main page please click here: Kongming’s Archives. ‘Pikachu’s Archives’ section added after prank was revealed.

Pikachu (ピカチュウ)
Place found: Pallet Town
Owner: Ash
Evolution: Raichu
Pikachu, styled "Pika", is a thunder elemetal Pokémon that is rarely found in the wild. Pikachu is a very fast and agile Pokémon, and relies more on speed than strength. Pikachu evolves into an even stronger Pokémon called Raichu. This evolution can be forced by using the Thunder Stone.
Pikachus are quite rare in this world, a few well known Pokémon are Pikachu (Ash), Sparky and Pooka. Remarkably so they all have distinctive physical marks that keep them apart. Ash received his Pikachu from Prof. Oak, who actually wanted to give it to his nephew Gary, but Gary messed up and Pikachu was given to Ash.
Initially Pikachu was relunctant to be the pet of a loser like Ash. However, in time, as the two experienced many hardships and trials, they began to form a close bond. In fact, it was the tears of the heartbroken Pikachu that cured the petrified Ash during the battle bewteen Mew and Mewtwo.
Pikachu is also amicable towards other Pokémon, and eventually became the protector of the unique Pokémon Togepi.
Pikachu is also the main target of Giovanni the mafia leader, and his henchmen Jessie and James, also known as Team Rocket. Countless times they would try to capture him and reap rewards. However, the clever strategies of friend Misty, and the clumsy attempts of heroism by Ash kept Pikachu safe over the years. Though Pikachu is unable to speak in human language like some other Pokémon, it is said that there is a deeper bond between Ash and Pikachu that defies the simple barrier of language.
It can be said that, Ash and Pikachu are the best example of love between a Pokémon and a human. For their endless strife is always soothed by each other's company, and as long as they look out for each other, they will always be safe.

This biography is just the first of many we are planning for the new Pikachu’s Archives project. Naturally, we start with Pikachu. Of course, the biography will be expanded in the future as more information is uncovered using whatever means we can, and many more will be added. We would like to welcome onboard for the new Pikachu’s Archives project as well. With the talent we still have there is no doubt we will make this a wonderful new addition to the community.
